A cool, lazy Sunday afternoon in late February could be spent running errands and tidying the house after a weekend of rushing rushing, or it could be spent with friends, savoring small moments and delicious seafood. Let’s go with the latter.
Sip…A Wine Store, Dock to Door seafood, The Clever Vine, Sour Grapes Distributing and Centerba Selections proudly invite you to the inaugural Seafood & Wine Fest at Sip…A Wine Store in Cary.
Dock to Door is working with Shooting Point Oyster Company to bring you an unforgettable raw bar that will include clams and 2-4 varieties of sustainably cultured oysters from the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Owner Tom Gallivan will spend a few minutes teaching us about his incredible oysters, which you may have enjoyed at Lantern Restaurant. At least one other North Carolina seafood treat from Dock to Door will be on the tasting menu, stay tuned for an update.
Mary Margaret McCamic, DWS, owns and operates The Clever Vine, a newly launched wine consulting and education company. McCamic will share tips about navigating the sometimes tricky waters of pairing seafood and wine.
Attendees will be able to taste at least six different wines from Centerba Selections and Sour Grapes Distributors. We’ll update the wines prior to the event.
Ticket options:
$40 : Wine, clams, 12 raw oysters per person, seafood from Dock to Door and goat cheese tasting.
$20 : Wine only ticket. Ideal for the wine lover who hasn’t been converted to seafood lover…yet.
$20 : Seafood only ticket. No wine, perfect for your designated driver!
